I have come up with a relationship between what I can expect from my reading in my current book,Fallen and what people have said about it and the addresses that the book has.I believe this story will have much to tell and have to do with love, but not completely and normal love,it has also something to do with suspense and fear,as I am seeing now, through Luce's current state in the story, weird place, full of weird people.

I am very excited to continue my lecture in this book, and even  more because Luce still doesn't bring to live the main reason she got locked down there, though,I think she gave a quite hint. She talked about these strange "shadows" that followed her when she was little, and for which she was taken to several doctors to practice special tests and see what was "wrong" with her because her parents were really concerned.

I am not sure if that is the real reason she is there or because it's something that has to do with it,but if it is that,I cannot wait any longer to find out,I always love good suspense

Characters
Telling from what I've been able to read from my book,I can tell that most of the characters in my book share a same feeling and behavior. In the majority of the characters,I can see that they are depressed, angry, sad, anxious, they find weirdness and darkness like a way out, some are lonely and block themselves, and some are even crazy already.

And, when it comes to comparing the kids with Luce, who just barely got to the reformatory,it is kind of influencing her and making her take back the memories that led her today to being where she is.I find the installations of the school as another factor to make the children there feel sad and depressed, because they are literally treated as criminals, with blocked, tiny windows, pure concrete walls and almost no outdoor time.

In my opinion,I am not very much liking this book, not because it is not good because it has a great narration style, but because darkness and a more emo life isn't very much my style or my favorite theme, though every time I read more it makes me become more interested in what will happen.
I predict that Luce will sooner or later talk to the handsome boy she just saw called,Daniel and she will have to get rid off the "other" boy that behaved flirty with her the first day of school.

I have been able to advance this week about twenty more pages into the story, and it narrates Luce's "tour" around the school with her new but weird friend called Arriane.Apparently Luce understands and gets informed about the different "types" of people in this reformatory, well, but what could she expect from buildings who have windows from about the size of an office envelope, the kids in this institutions stick to a personality they have adapted locked down in these closed interiors.

She also gets thoughtful about an apparent situation were she meets a new guy called Cam,who is looking forward to flirting with her,but she also has Daniel in mind who was the previous guy she had met with green eyes and dark hair, and at that moment she realizes that she is barely starting her first day in this school and she already has some people in mind. She describes a bit about the situation that got her into this reformatory by quoting " the last time she'd been interested in a guy ,things went horribly, horribly wrong",but she hasn't still specifically clarified what the main cause was.

I am looking forward very very anxiously to knowing about Luce's past,I want to know what made her be where she is today?locked inside a reformatory full of creeps, annoying teachers and prison installations.

This week I was able to advance my reading in the new Lauren Kate book, Fallen. As it seemed before, this book started narrating two different stories one about a girl who has been sent to a reformatory school and another of a couple, but I am still not completely sure that they are actually two different stories or only one but the book is narrating different scenes,so I will have to wait a little longer during my reading to get complete knowledge.

For now, what I've read, the book begins off with "one" of the possible two stories, the girl who was been sent to the reformatory school by her parents, and she describes her tour all over the buildings of the school, where she will sleep, what she must do and not do,how to become ready for all of her classes, but at the same time a  warning is given to her by one of the main supervisors, there are cameras, and they are everywhere,so she must extremely watch every single thing she does, because everything will determine the time of her stay in this  "hellwhole" as Arriane,(Luce's new friend) describes the school.
Besides Luce getting to know her new installations a little better,as said before, she gets to meet new people, this involves her friend Arriane,a girl who has long been in this school and which has determinately made her to "wacky" for Luce's taste and surprises her at the end with a strange compliment by telling Luce to cut her hair equally to hers. And also,Luce spoke to the mysterious kid she had seen with big green eyes warning her about this place.I believe Luce is just getting adapted here, getting to know new and very strange people, she has a long way to go.

After finishing the great and amazing book of "The Lord of the Flies" I decided to move on to a new novel with a totally different theme which by the readers comments seem to be a sexy, fascinating and scary story I am excited to start, this new book is called Fallen.

Obviously I don't have much of a long and deep progress in this book, but from what I've read till now,I understand it could possibly be narrating two different stories. The first one is about a man that has a couple, and for a special and unnamed reason till now, he is planning on leaving her, for which she gets sad and asks him to take her with him,and he keeps denying her for that reason. There is something the man and her are hiding, something that happened in the past that must keep him away from her to keep her safe, but it is still unknown for the public.
The second story narrated, is about a teenage girl which is introduced in a reformatory school by her parents because of something(also unknown till now) she committed in her old school, she is forced to give up her phone which is her only contact with the world;her mom and her friend Callie. And on her first day she met and made eye contact with a boy with a tattoo on his back and found him attractive,I am very intrigued about the reasons she got into the reformatory school and why the man is about to leave his couple.

Blog Reflection

My Character's Blog done about The Lord Of The Flies http://mariasreads.blogspot.com/2013/09/characters.html shows the development of characters over the course of time in my story in the way were "i have been able to observe in the characters development, how 1 action made by anyone of this boys is a huge influence and credit on anyother action they intend to imply later."One action made by anyone of this boys is a huge influence and credit on anyother thing they want to have access or do ."This quote says that to build up your position in that small group or to give yourself a "place" you must show first that you are able, you have to prove and demonstrate that you are capable of doing so.But this process wasn't like this always, the more time these kids passed in this island they began to notice that if this is a survival situation you're not gonna win anything if you dont stand up for what you want you have fight for it, so at the same time it proves that the children's characters become stronger, more agresive, but they also become frightened, anxious and desperate because they have no idea when theyre coming to get them, how long will they be there, will they survive, food, supplies, fire, water? That's also why then
fighting and some getting killed explain a brutal change in their interaction.

My goals next Trimester imply reading books with a more advanced vocabular and with a more complex theme. My goals are to develop my solving plot skills and strenghten my theme understanding. And I would like to achieve a more extense vocabular while writting, getting the ability to use more complex words in sentences, make it seem something normal in my daily communication.
I would definitely want to improve the speed i have while reading but obviously understanding equaly, and extending my responses while answering a question.

Getting in the children´s shoes

I was able to compare myself in so many ways with this story, not only because this conflict may seem as one of my daily problems but obviously not so intense, but because this story is able to bring the real life people´s reactions when a tragic situation actually occurs and because it shows again the importance of knowing when and how to keep an order with formally and strictly applied norms and rules. You may think it may lead to a slightly disadvantage, but no when a snowball keeps getting more snow to pile up,it becomes a huge snow rock that can cause a great amount of damage. How would you react if you were dump'd in a lonely island with a bunch of kids who are as desperate as you?

Reflection Lord Of The Flies

A Stressful Ending I think the ending part of this whole story made me a bit stressed,im not saying its not good or anything, but I managed to get so into this book that when I saw everything these children had to go through, food, fights, children getting killed,Porky and Ralph's resistance, making their own fire, weapons, the "monster" and at the end Porky got killed just a day before their rescue had arrived to the island to take them home. That makes me think that if maybe the children wouldve known that they WERE actually going to be saved,Porky wouldnt have died.It was just a matter of time that they missed. They say in life everyting is temporary, but you dont know until when or for how long.

Overview 6 Lord of the Flies

I have finnaly accomplished my reading for this book, and I must say I absolutely enjoyed. But above all it certainly left me many life lessons;violence doesnt bring ends or solutions, just more distbance, people can go to high consecuences when panic overtakes them,self-control and union in difficult situations is vitally neccessary, and many more. I was actually impacted about the final, because the end came just after one of the main character's death, which was really annoying, but just in time to safe another one. I certainly know now what I must do, if I ever get involved in something similar hahaha. This is an amazing book and recommend everyone who hasn´t had the chance to read it, to go out and get it!

Book Recomendation

My Reccomendation would be Isabel Allende´s trilogy of The City of Beasts My opinion about this book is that it is really well redacted, it talks about the respect of cultures and the trips of an old lady for in which this time her grandson gets to form part in it,they will fase adventorous scenes and discover dark secrets kept in mens interior. It is a combination of adventure, nature, magic, fantasy and humour.I really liked it because every moment I spent reading this book I was constantly amused and felt excited for their journey, and also because I really felt connected with Alex and Nadia relationship. Something very imporant to know about this story is the Grandma's(old lady) path, how she is dedicated to travel to whole new different parts of the world, and for which her grandson finds that amazing chance and ends up going with her.I chose this book because it was a novel written for the understanding of teenagers, as said a strong relationhip takes a big part in the story,to which many of you will be able to, as I did. Enjoy!

Overview 5 Lord of the Flies

I am about a few good pages away from finishing this story, and as I predicted, It slowly has been turning to chaos,The process in this story has even in one way, made me feel frightened, just to think if I could ever get involved in this kind of situation, were instead of being afraid of the wildlife, animals, poisonous plants or food, you become frightened about what your other companions may do to you in sign of anxiety or desesperation. Everything started getting more rowdy when a so called "monster" was in the island and was going to eat one by one each of the children. So,when finally one child goes to investigate a bit this "monster" and discovers that there is nothing to worry about,he heads to the camp to share the news and hopefully make the enviornment calm down,he is killed by the determined children because he is mistaken with the monster. This makes me become more desperate about the story becaue now that a first children has fallen it only creates a combination of tension, desesperation, anxiety and feer. And every time Jakes tribe keeps hitting Ralph harder and weakening him. There is a bunch of problems and I gues there is a bigger stage to come were things will explode completely, but only passage will tell.I am enjoying this book a lot.

Overview 4

I have got to the point in my story were both seperate groups are becoming more serious about the opposing revolution.Kids in sign of desesperation are joinin to Jack's side leaving Ralph and "porky" alone on the bright side.As Jack takes advantage of the situation, Ralp looses power and control over things.I think this could probably be the worst thing to do in a scene like this because, union makes force and order, and if beeing abandoned in a lonely island is bad, what can possibly happen with kids ftting and savagely discusing over nothng? I believe things will start to get out of order an push the kids to EXTREME limits.

Overview 3

I have advanced more each week in my reading and everytime, I just fall deeper in curiosity to finish it.I have got to the point were Ralph, the leader is noticing how the kids are not worrying enough about their daily duties and instead are being "lazy" and actingrebel about it.It makes me think wow, to control a bunch of kids that do not cooparate must be a job for a strict, patient person.Sometimes,I can deeply reflect myself with Ralph when in situations I get a school assignment that I must do with people that dont work, doesnt care and just ignores you when youre trying to help, having in mind that its your grade in game,, It just makes me go crazy and make me stop thinking. And even more when there is actually someone who is opposing against your good act,as the case of Jack and Ralph.Ralph must find the way to control his toop or everyone will start to do whatever they want, whenever and this can turn to a huge dissorder!

Overview 2 Lord of the Flies

Till now i am enjoying my book because I think its really creative and entertaining how these kids find ways to create sustainable and vital resources;how they started from finding their main water source,a lake, to hunting and cutting the flesh of a wild pig for dinner.Sometimes, I picture myself during the story,What would I do,If I were them?,How would I react?Would I survive? It definitely would be a challenge. I would like to add that i am surprised how these boys of ages from 12-15 can be really noisy, uncontrolable and not mature enough to even affront the atual consequences,I think having the task to be the boss or the mediador can be a tough job, even for Ralph.

Analysis

The main message my story is delivering till now is how can a society react to a lifestyle without norms or rules establishing limits, even if it is a very small society. It also mentions how people can simply loose control over situations when they stop "thinking or reflectioning" and simply go through the panic path,as everyone else. The importance of limits and regulation really pop out in this story.I know this because its the case the boys are in,first there is one kind of "leader or wise" that establish some kind of rules, as the person who holds the shell has the right of speech or how every kid must find something useful to do in benefit of the whole group. But after a while, kids start suposing that these rules are not worthy of anything and that they are not neccesary.I know this is true because the quote: "-I believe we all need more discipline,we shall begin to fish by turns and obtain real food-,clarified Ralph -Why don't we eat pork?-said a kid. -That is all I wanted to tell you,Does anyone want the shell?- -Someone stoll my pocket knife!-a kid screamed. -Yeah,a lot of things are dissapearing- -When we catch teh thief,he shall be punished!- -Yes!,punished he shall be,Yes!Yes!-all the kids said waving their fists in the air- -Silence!,Everybody quite!-Ralph regained order.-We shall not allow for thiefs to hang loose. We will establish stricter rules and apply sanctions,i suppose-,he doubted. -Sanctions?What kind of nonsense is this!-replied a child. -Yeah!How can sanctions be useful here!-said another one.The kids instantly became a choir of screams and laughs do to Ralphs previous point"(Golding,45). What I can infer from this text is,things will get tougher and more reinless each time,as mentioned in the previous quote: "The kids instantly became a loud choir of screams and laughs do to Ralph's point".Things get tenser and louder, and the situation gets more alterated if all of them coordinate to fight and oppose against the same staitment, changing one persons point of view may be easy, but changing twelve views of screaming and stubborn children is impossible.

Theme and Summary,Lord of the Flies

The theme of my story, i was able to spot is,"A society without limits or standards can turn to chaos",my central idea could base itself in the importance of regulation. This idea develops over the course of the text reflecting how any situation that doesnt posses strict regulation or the following of policies can influence in people and make them develop an uncontrolled and reinless status. This status can begin forming itself in one person and then spred out to transmit the fear and anxiety on others.Which can,at the end cause disastrous effects. The theme's development over the course of the text could be described as "the increasing and spreding of desesperation",the kids in the island get more desperate and afraid because they are not certain of if they will be found or if they will remain eternally in that island. After much time spent in the island the "leader or the wisest" child gets to a point where he doesnt know what to do or command anymore, which makes the other children feel like if there was no hope left, panic. The childrens actitudes become violent, opposing and afraid. When there is this kind of situations and people loose themselves or their "selfcontrol",they stop thinking, which means they act without thinking twice, and these loose actions lead to terrible consecuences that leed to even more panic. This problem emerges from the lost of hope and the beggining of imagining other endings or posibilities they may suffer. My summary would conclude in, if these children dont start listening or dont hold on to the reality they are facing, they will end damaged or damage anyone in their way,the question, how long will this take for chaos to eat everyone up?

Characters

In this story, i have been able to observe in the characters development, how 1 action made by anyone of this boys is a huge influence and credit on anyother action they intend to imply later. For example,a boy called Jack projects the action of opposing always against what the main general Ralph says, for this he is considered to be in rivalry with him and will do anything to get complete power, for which none of the rest of the boys will oppose to him because of fear.He imposes a dominant and rival state,so when Jack says to do something no one contradicts him.For this, many of the characters in this book may be forced to fight for their own spot in the small society. Plus, the more time these kids spend in the lonely island, with the poor rules and standards they have "established",a little sign of rebellion by some members is showing off, and maybe right now it seems small and unharmful but later it can turn into a masacre of everyone against everyone. The reins of standards are loosening up more and more each time. Now,in the characters interaction, the group of kids is slowly forming 2 sides, the violent and uncontrolled side of Jake and the stick-to-the-moral side with Ralph.Eventually both sides show signs of rivalry and objecion against the other. The Jake side is insisting in having more "liberty","fun","scandle" and "revolt" while the other side of Ralph tries to maintain order, pacific treat and accomodation of rules. But when two of these sides disagree their friendly relationship steps apart and ennemy sides come to light.Another type of character interaction is between some of the kids an the so called"piggy",it describes how the kids make fun of "piggy" because he is always trying to be responsable and just but with annoying comments. In average the interaction is a bit alarming and wild which gives a lot of sense as they are a bunch of kids without adults telling them how to act or what to do. I think the humour and actions by the characters in this story describe and develop perfectly the theme because the story tells what kind of actions and ocurrences can be brought by not having a society that followes and obeys rules, and these actions are uncontrolld and can lead to disaster annd panic. The characters personality changes because of their desperate thought of will someone find them? or not, when will they find them?, how? do they have enough supplies to survive?.It clearly is a stage where anyone could tear apart.

My comment on Lord of the Flies, till now

Though my reading progress through this narrative has been short,i can share that i am really surprised about the way the author utilizes his narrating skills. He has a special facility to make the reader understand clearly what is happening in the story instead of circling through the readers mind,as many do.I am very curious about what may happen to Ralph and his only companion till now,the fat boy in their surch for other survivants or lonely kids in the island.Sometimes i get a feeling of exhaustion because Ralph has to struggle with finding someone else in the island, with a ridiculousley hot weather and an annoying kid curious about what may happen next.I am anxious to find out about the rest of these boys adventures,so I am enjoyng my reading time with this book.

Overview 1

The Lord of the Flies
A diversity of comments can be ment about this narrative;some say its a life lesson book, some say it teaches the consecuences of collapsed-order and some say it puts the fear and desesparation of lonely people to the limit. For me,by the simple sound of ''a group of boys crashing in a lonely island away from any type of control or supervisor''makes me think of all the liberties and crazy thingts these boys may be up to and maybe to a point it can be fun ,but when limits are crossed nothing good can be expected to happen. As these boys describe how strict and complicated their daily life was against the fact of changing to a no-rules enviornment may be really influential in their personalities, this makes me wonder, will there be to much liberty until the point it makes none of the boys available to listen to another? How much disorder will it create? What actions will this disorder bring along? Will someone interfear?I believe things will get out of control in a violent way and the chance  of someone getting injuried very severly willl be present, but, what can be more than expected? These boys will be exposed to the idea of being alone in an island without any contact from the outside world, not knowing for how long their supplies will last and how much time will they be domped in that island without anxiety and fear running through their veins eating up one by one of them.
In the text though, I find a deap connection or a reflection of myself with one of the characters when he seems at the begining to be under absolute control and calm although the rest of his inmates are spilling fear all over, this I find it in a discution with my brothers, my brothers always work as allies against me in any type of given argument, they begin screaming and accusing while I try to stay calm listen to their arguments and respond, but by the time my parents join and cause more revolts its starts to get into me and make me more nervous and willing to attack in the same way back, which my character does under so much pressure. This story i believe will base itself in a total control strategy and trying to ''not loose it'' to survive.
