Analysis

The main message my story is delivering till now is how can a society react to a lifestyle without norms or rules establishing limits, even if it is a very small society. It also mentions how people can simply loose control over situations when they stop "thinking or reflectioning" and simply go through the panic path,as everyone else. The importance of limits and regulation really pop out in this story.I know this because its the case the boys are in,first there is one kind of "leader or wise" that establish some kind of rules, as the person who holds the shell has the right of speech or how every kid must find something useful to do in benefit of the whole group. But after a while, kids start suposing that these rules are not worthy of anything and that they are not neccesary.I know this is true because the quote: "-I believe we all need more discipline,we shall begin to fish by turns and obtain real food-,clarified Ralph -Why don't we eat pork?-said a kid. -That is all I wanted to tell you,Does anyone want the shell?- -Someone stoll my pocket knife!-a kid screamed. -Yeah,a lot of things are dissapearing- -When we catch teh thief,he shall be punished!- -Yes!,punished he shall be,Yes!Yes!-all the kids said waving their fists in the air- -Silence!,Everybody quite!-Ralph regained order.-We shall not allow for thiefs to hang loose. We will establish stricter rules and apply sanctions,i suppose-,he doubted. -Sanctions?What kind of nonsense is this!-replied a child. -Yeah!How can sanctions be useful here!-said another one.The kids instantly became a choir of screams and laughs do to Ralphs previous point"(Golding,45). What I can infer from this text is,things will get tougher and more reinless each time,as mentioned in the previous quote: "The kids instantly became a loud choir of screams and laughs do to Ralph's point".Things get tenser and louder, and the situation gets more alterated if all of them coordinate to fight and oppose against the same staitment, changing one persons point of view may be easy, but changing twelve views of screaming and stubborn children is impossible.

Theme and Summary,Lord of the Flies

The theme of my story, i was able to spot is,"A society without limits or standards can turn to chaos",my central idea could base itself in the importance of regulation. This idea develops over the course of the text reflecting how any situation that doesnt posses strict regulation or the following of policies can influence in people and make them develop an uncontrolled and reinless status. This status can begin forming itself in one person and then spred out to transmit the fear and anxiety on others.Which can,at the end cause disastrous effects. The theme's development over the course of the text could be described as "the increasing and spreding of desesperation",the kids in the island get more desperate and afraid because they are not certain of if they will be found or if they will remain eternally in that island. After much time spent in the island the "leader or the wisest" child gets to a point where he doesnt know what to do or command anymore, which makes the other children feel like if there was no hope left, panic. The childrens actitudes become violent, opposing and afraid. When there is this kind of situations and people loose themselves or their "selfcontrol",they stop thinking, which means they act without thinking twice, and these loose actions lead to terrible consecuences that leed to even more panic. This problem emerges from the lost of hope and the beggining of imagining other endings or posibilities they may suffer. My summary would conclude in, if these children dont start listening or dont hold on to the reality they are facing, they will end damaged or damage anyone in their way,the question, how long will this take for chaos to eat everyone up?

Characters

In this story, i have been able to observe in the characters development, how 1 action made by anyone of this boys is a huge influence and credit on anyother action they intend to imply later. For example,a boy called Jack projects the action of opposing always against what the main general Ralph says, for this he is considered to be in rivalry with him and will do anything to get complete power, for which none of the rest of the boys will oppose to him because of fear.He imposes a dominant and rival state,so when Jack says to do something no one contradicts him.For this, many of the characters in this book may be forced to fight for their own spot in the small society. Plus, the more time these kids spend in the lonely island, with the poor rules and standards they have "established",a little sign of rebellion by some members is showing off, and maybe right now it seems small and unharmful but later it can turn into a masacre of everyone against everyone. The reins of standards are loosening up more and more each time. Now,in the characters interaction, the group of kids is slowly forming 2 sides, the violent and uncontrolled side of Jake and the stick-to-the-moral side with Ralph.Eventually both sides show signs of rivalry and objecion against the other. The Jake side is insisting in having more "liberty","fun","scandle" and "revolt" while the other side of Ralph tries to maintain order, pacific treat and accomodation of rules. But when two of these sides disagree their friendly relationship steps apart and ennemy sides come to light.Another type of character interaction is between some of the kids an the so called"piggy",it describes how the kids make fun of "piggy" because he is always trying to be responsable and just but with annoying comments. In average the interaction is a bit alarming and wild which gives a lot of sense as they are a bunch of kids without adults telling them how to act or what to do. I think the humour and actions by the characters in this story describe and develop perfectly the theme because the story tells what kind of actions and ocurrences can be brought by not having a society that followes and obeys rules, and these actions are uncontrolld and can lead to disaster annd panic. The characters personality changes because of their desperate thought of will someone find them? or not, when will they find them?, how? do they have enough supplies to survive?.It clearly is a stage where anyone could tear apart.

My comment on Lord of the Flies, till now

Though my reading progress through this narrative has been short,i can share that i am really surprised about the way the author utilizes his narrating skills. He has a special facility to make the reader understand clearly what is happening in the story instead of circling through the readers mind,as many do.I am very curious about what may happen to Ralph and his only companion till now,the fat boy in their surch for other survivants or lonely kids in the island.Sometimes i get a feeling of exhaustion because Ralph has to struggle with finding someone else in the island, with a ridiculousley hot weather and an annoying kid curious about what may happen next.I am anxious to find out about the rest of these boys adventures,so I am enjoyng my reading time with this book.

Overview 1

The Lord of the Flies
A diversity of comments can be ment about this narrative;some say its a life lesson book, some say it teaches the consecuences of collapsed-order and some say it puts the fear and desesparation of lonely people to the limit. For me,by the simple sound of ''a group of boys crashing in a lonely island away from any type of control or supervisor''makes me think of all the liberties and crazy thingts these boys may be up to and maybe to a point it can be fun ,but when limits are crossed nothing good can be expected to happen. As these boys describe how strict and complicated their daily life was against the fact of changing to a no-rules enviornment may be really influential in their personalities, this makes me wonder, will there be to much liberty until the point it makes none of the boys available to listen to another? How much disorder will it create? What actions will this disorder bring along? Will someone interfear?I believe things will get out of control in a violent way and the chance  of someone getting injuried very severly willl be present, but, what can be more than expected? These boys will be exposed to the idea of being alone in an island without any contact from the outside world, not knowing for how long their supplies will last and how much time will they be domped in that island without anxiety and fear running through their veins eating up one by one of them.
In the text though, I find a deap connection or a reflection of myself with one of the characters when he seems at the begining to be under absolute control and calm although the rest of his inmates are spilling fear all over, this I find it in a discution with my brothers, my brothers always work as allies against me in any type of given argument, they begin screaming and accusing while I try to stay calm listen to their arguments and respond, but by the time my parents join and cause more revolts its starts to get into me and make me more nervous and willing to attack in the same way back, which my character does under so much pressure. This story i believe will base itself in a total control strategy and trying to ''not loose it'' to survive.
